Our Staff are tested for Covid-19 weekly to ensure the safety of our clients. All members of our staff are also double vaccinated.
APPOINTMENT SCHEDULING
- We have reduced the number of clients that are booked in each physiotherapists schedule. This allows for fewer clients in the clinic at one time and allows time between clients for the staff to thoroughly disinfect the treatment area.
- Intake forms are emailed to the new clients prior to the time of the initial appointment. Clients are asked to email back completed forms. This minimizes the time a client needs to be in the clinic and keeps number of people at the clinic at a minimum.
- The initial history taking in the subjective examination is done on the phone by the treating physiotherapist prior to the first appointment. This minimizes the time a client needs to spend in the clinic during the first initial appointment and helps keep the number of people in the clinic at one time to a minimum.
- When seen for the first time at our clinic, the physiotherapist will do a thorough objective assessment and proceed with appropriate treatment and education with the history taking about their pain already completed via phone
ENHANCED SANITATION AND DISINFECTION PROCEDURES
- All surfaces that have had any contact with clients are disinfected(door handles, treatment tables, vinyl pillow cases, gym equipment, chairs etc)
- Our clinic ONLY uses Health Canada approved sanitation and disinfecting products.These products are supported by evidence following drug review to be effective in fighting the spread of COVID19
- Our therapists clean and disinfect their hands using soap and water or alcohol based hand sanitizer after each client
- Each treatment room and the main reception area is equipped with a Hextio VirusKiller Air Cleaner https://prescientx.com/air-disinfector-desktop https://prescientx.com/air-disinfector-desktop which helps decrease airborne contamination, decreasing the ability of infectious pathogens from spreading.
WAITING AREAS AND RECEPTION
- Our clients are asked to come to their appointments unaccompanied, unless they are a minor or need assistance communicating or ambulating.
- Our waiting room has the chairs spaced out by 2 meters, and all magazines have been removed.
- Our staff constantly disinfects all touched surfaces including those in the restrooms.
- Clients are asked to wait in their cars until their appointment times, thus limiting the numbers in the clinic at any given time
ILLNESS SCREENING
- Clients are informed that they will not be permitted to receive treatment at our clinic if they have had any symptoms consistent with COVID 19 up to 14 days prior to their appointment date
- Both staff and clients are screened each time they enter our clinic for symptoms consistent with COVID19
PPE
- All clients are required to wear face masks when entering the clinic
- All treating staff are required to wear medical grade surgical masks or N95 masks and face shields or googles
