1. How much of my physiotherapy cost does my extended health plan cover?
Everyone’s health plan is different. Once again it is best to contact your own individual provider and inquire on the percentage they will cover or if there is a cap to the amount they cover.
2. Does OHIP cover any of the cost of the physiotherapy treatments?
OHIP does not cover any of the cost of physiotherapy at the Durham Orthopedic & Sports Injury Clinic. Most extended health insurance policies will cover some or all of the cost of treatment at our clinic.
3. Do I need a doctor’s referral to receive physiotherapy treatments?
A referral from your doctor is not required to receive physiotherapy. Some private insurance companies do require a medical referral therefore it is best to check with your provider first
4. How to I make payment?
Debit, Credit, Cash, E-transfer
5. How long is each session?
This depends on the injury and the type of treatment you will require. Expect to be at the clinic for 40 minutes to an hour.
6. How many treatments will I need?
Every condition is individually evaluated. Your physiotherapists will be able to advise you on your treatment plan after your initial visit.
7. Will WSIB cover the cost of physiotherapy treatment at the Durham Orthopedic & Sports Injury Clinic?
WSIB will assign you a claim number. Once your claim has been approved by WSIB, they will cover the cost of physiotherapy treatments at our clinic.
